libfile-mmagic-xs-perl software package provides Perl module to guess file type (? la mod_mime_magic), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfile-mmagic-xs-perl
libfile-mmagic-xs-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfile-mmagic-xs-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfile-mmagic-xs-perl *
You will get with libfile-mmagic-xs-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
